Hi, I’m Shannon.
I help established independent businesses step into a bigger, more credible, more visible version of themselves through websites that finally reflect who they are, and content that builds their authority with the right audience.
Based in Essex. Working with clients across the UK and internationally.
Five years freelancing. Still the best job I've ever had.
01. Website Redesign
Your website should be your hardest-working asset - findable on Google, clear on what you do, and compelling enough that the right person lands on it and thinks: yes, this is exactly who I need.
Most of the businesses I work with have outgrown theirs. The business has evolved - the services are stronger, the clients are better, the vision is clearer - but the website is still telling an older, smaller story. Some are stuck on a platform they can't edit themselves. Some have outgrown a developer they can no longer rely on. Some have simply reached a point where the gap between how good the business is and how it looks online has become too big to ignore.
I rebuild websites on Squarespace properly, from the ground up. Before anything is designed, I spend time understanding the business: where it's heading, who it's for, and what it needs to communicate. The website gets built around that, not around a template.
I handle everything: the strategy and structure upfront, starter SEO, the full design and build, and the migration from wherever you are now - Wix, WordPress, GoDaddy. Payments, bookings and integrations are sorted before handover, and I'll either train you to manage the site yourself or stay on and keep things running for you.
The result is a site that works, and one you'll actually feel proud to put in front of people.
Most clients invest between £3,000 and £5,000. Projects typically complete within 7 to 9 weeks. I take on a small number of projects at a time, so when we work together, you get my full attention. Payment plans available upon request, starting at 4 instalments.
Occasionally, I take on new website builds from scratch too - get in touch and let’s talk.
Not sure if you need a full rebuild? A website audit is a good starting point. I'll review your current site and give you a clear, honest picture of what's working and what’s not, plus a 30-minute call to discuss the findings and priority next steps. Enquire about an audit →

02. Content Strategy & Blog Writing
A website redesign gives you the foundation. Content is what makes it work long-term, and what turns visitors into the right clients.
Most businesses launch their website and leave it quiet. No new content, no reason for Google to surface them, no reason for the right person to stumble across them and stay. The businesses that build real authority treat their website like a living thing - publishing content that genuinely serves their audience, answers the questions their ideal clients are already searching for, and positions them as the go-to in their space.
I run a magazine. I know what makes content worth reading, and more importantly, what makes people come back.
Every engagement starts with a quarterly content strategy session. We figure out what your business should be publishing, who it's for, and what will actually get you found. You leave with a content plan, an editorial calendar, and a clear direction.
From there, you choose how much support you need. Some clients write it themselves and bring it to me to shape and publish. Others want me to handle the writing entirely. Some just want the strategy and take it from there themselves.
Whatever the shape, the thinking comes first.
Scope and pricing are tailored to each client. Get in touch and tell me where you are with your content, and I'll come back with a recommendation.

For website redesigns and rebuilds, yes. It's the platform I know best and where I can guarantee the result. For content strategy and blog writing, I work with businesses on any platform. Already have someone managing your site? I can just be the editorial brain behind it.

Yes. Before specialising in web design I worked in marketing, PR and thought leadership. That background informs everything - how I think about positioning, messaging, and what a website actually needs to communicate. See my full background on LinkedIn →
