The Co-Pilot
The Co-Pilot is ongoing advisory support for founders and agencies who want senior marketing guidance - without employing a full-time marketing manager.
Instead of making decisions alone, you have an experienced marketing lead alongside you: someone to plan with, sense-check ideas, and help you move forward with confidence over time.
This isn’t execution or outsourcing. You stay in control.
I support you with:
• planning and prioritising marketing activity
• thinking through ideas before they’re launched
• reviewing work before it goes live
• refining positioning and messaging as the business evolves
• cutting through noise, trends, and conflicting adviceI act as an expert eye - reviewing websites, messaging, content ideas, campaigns, launches, proposals, or marketing collateral - and offering clear, constructive direction.
Where specialist support is needed, I can recommend trusted freelancers, without you having to manage everything alone.
The value isn’t in doing more. It’s in doing the right things, in the right order, with confidence.
Ongoing support is scoped to your needs and typically runs over 3, 6 or 12 months.
This work is grounded in real experience.
I’m trained in journalism, but spent my twenties building a career in digital marketing - starting in-house before moving into agency life.
I joined a thought-leadership agency when there were just three of us, and over four years helped grow it into a fast-scaling business, eventually becoming Assistant Director of Marketing & Operations. I left full-time employment in May 2025 to focus on independent client work.
I’ve worked independently with founders and small businesses since 2020 - often stepping in as a Squarespace website designer and digital marketing lead when things feel stuck, misaligned, or in need of senior direction. Some clients work with me intensively for a period; others value lighter, ongoing support as their business evolves.
I’m also the Founder & Editor of High Flying Design, a women’s business and lifestyle magazine recognised by Feedspot as one of the best women’s business magazines of 2025.
Both roles rely on the same core skills: clear thinking, good judgement, and knowing what actually deserves attention.
